Email marketing 

Canvas is the only loft bar and live lounge in Bournemouth that hosts a variety of high quality live acts and DJs and are known for their fantastic cocktails, artisan decor, and ambient bar atmosphere. The bar reached out to us because they were struggling to boost traffic to their website so we pitched our email marketing service to overcome this challenge.

We built a monthly newsletter for Canvas to send out to their customers which allowed them to update their customers in a friendly way rather than a forceful and repetitive salesy approach that can clog up customers’ email boxes. By categorising email lists, we segmented the different demographics of consumers which allowed us to create tailored email marketing campaigns to build a personalised customer experience. It was revealed that segmented email campaigns receive 14.37% opens and 64.78% more clicks compared to non-segmented campaigns so audiences appreciated the customised emails. Our email campaigns built bridged relationships between Canvas and their customers, which allowed them to differentiate themselves from their competitors. These personalised messages lead towards increased brand trust which steered towards brand loyalty, the ultimate marketing goal.

To make an effective promotional email campaign, we wanted to ensure Canvas had all the necessary requirements to prove they would see results. We were able to pack the emails with a variety of messages including upcoming acts and events, news, and promotional offers (for example, show a screenshot of this email to redeem one free cocktail). These are some examples that led towards positive brand attitudes; we included clear call to action buttons, optimising appropriate mobile layouts, and social sharing buttons to drive traffic to Canvas’ website. Customer satisfaction grew alongside brand awareness, resulting in accomplishing the overall goal of increased traffic to their website.
